San Fran

Peter really wanted to hit the "City" so we went. So glad we did we left Brooke with Barbara and just enjoyed a day with the older kids. We also hit the Oakland Temple Peter had never been so that was a blast.

The Logger

Where to start?
I'll start with the Logger a super cool train in the Sierra's. Bree, Reb and I took Uncle Peter up to ride the old train this last month it was so much fun!

One of the Greats!

This last month has been so fun. But the biggest highlight was my dad's 80th b-day.
We had all the grandchildren ask my dad a question- which he answered in a evening of root-beer floats and cake. I learned so much about a man I've know my whole life. Fun things like what was his favorite pet (he had tears in his eyes remembering his 1st parrot). Who are his favorite Indians (the friendly kind). Why he quit Pre-Med after 2yrs at the Y. How to make a impact in the world (surround yourself with the leaders and be ready to make a change yourself)
Why he joined the Air Force-How he meet Mother-Etc. I have to say that one of the questions that my Dad answered has been weighing heavy on my mind- Ian asked What was one of the worst things that happened to you and how where you be able to pick yourself up after that disappointment and move on to success? Dads answer gave me an answer to my own prayers- he spoke about a fire that accured at his dealership in Utah- Although they had insurance he knew that this day would change the eternal nature of our family - How amazing! Seriously on one of the worst days of his life he had the faith and a witness that a loving Heavenly Father had a plan for him. He said that this knowledge has given him great comfort throught his life.
I love my Dad!

Our 1st stay (hopefully our last) at Children's

Tuesday-Low grade fever- simple right?
Wednesday-Headache-super bad nothing helped
Thursday-Fever, headache and body aches sounds like flu-right?
Friday-Apt with Dr Chan for anything to help with headache got med's for sinus infection and Tylenol with codeine for headache (1st night josh is able to sleep thru night)
Saturday-Josh wakes up with swelling around his eye and forehead (not good)-back to Dr's for a shot of super antibiotic's in the back side (Josh did not like this at all)
Sunday-Back to Dr's to check process NOT GOOD- ending the morning admitted to Children's Hospital waited from 9am to 6pm for C-T scan (nice)
worst parts of the day- IV tried 3 times-so glad Kevin was around for that-2nd worse part was Starving-no food for Josh until the scan just in case they had to operate. At 10pm we got word that the scan showed no abscess and they would just continue the antibiotics and we could go home the next day- YEA! so were so excited we got Josh pizza and french fries to celebrate! Josh was awesome what a good boy! he was so good! WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM!
Monday-last of meds home by noon. He is doing great and will be back in school by mid-week.

What a week!
So if you where wondering what he had in Dr Sanchez words-Right peri-orbital cellulitis and Sinusitis but ruled out abscess.
Nice what he means is no nasty stuff that need to be drained out of his eye!
so grateful for Blessings-Prayer-Insurance

T.E.A. Party 2009

I checked out our local T.E.A party It was my 1st protest! and I'm addicted! It was so fun everyone was so nice and it felt so good to be around people just as angry as I am about our $ being spent with no care at all!

I felt like America fell a sleep at the wheel NO more do I feel that way- the people I met last night are smart-awake-educated-workers I think that this was such a good thing! over 6,000 people came. I have a feeling some incumbents will be losing there jobs coming election time! Time for a CHANGE !

Did you know that if you are 20yrs old your EXTRA taxes that you will pay in your life time for the stimulus plan's INTEREST (just interest) will be over $125,000+ How in earth will we ever get out of this?

Did you know that Our CONGRESS signed this stupid bill with out even reading it!
Our Republican congressmen should be ashamed - Why did they allow this to happen!

I know that now is a good time to be poor - But has anyone thought about what we are doing to our children? they will be the highest taxed Americans ever! I would rather lose my house than have my children be burdened with my mortgage

And I'm not some anti-government or anti-tax freak I have no problem paying my share to live in this wonderful country. We have the best emergency-services-army-police-etc. I have no problem paying teachers I DO have a problem with how the Money is MIS-USED and MIS-SPENT!

I better stop my rant since I'm on the terrorist watch list for donating to pro 8 (I'm in even bigger trouble since I signed in at the party)

Thanks for indulging me! I think I've gone a little crazy! But I'm so mad Its like the straw that broke the camels back - As a Californian I'm the highest taxed American- and they want to raise our sales tax and income tax! And our Governor told us to suck it up! What? I just wrote a check to the government for money I don't even have in our savings! FOR WHAT? Sorry I went off again I'm just so dang mad!

My camera's battery went out so I only had a couple of shots there where some funny signs!
Some that I didn't get on film

"Obama is not my MOMMA"
"8 and already broke"
"We can spend our way out of debt"Obama's quote - tried this didn't work!
"My grand kids Should pay there mortgages not yours"

Our little fish

Sweet little Aleida surprised us all with a total sweep at her Swim/Skills Meet.

The little fish walked away with 1st place in all 4 events- Backstroke-Butterfly-FreeStyle-Breaststroke. (we hadn't realized how much she had progressed Since I'm not a swimmer and can't really figure out what they are doing at practice-LOL) The best part of the night was how modest she was. Aleida was so cute she just kept telling everyone they did such a good job (with a little tinkle in her eye) We are so proud of Aleida and all of her hard work- Way to GO!
